Integral Stops – Screws on the back end of the main shower housing that allow you to independently turn on and off the water supply to the valve.  This way if you need to work on it you don’t have to turn off the house water.

Pressure Balanced – Metal bearings in the back of the cartridge allow even flow from the cartridge. If hot or cold pressure dramatically goes up or down the water stays the same temperature.

Scald Guard – A Setting on the cartridge that you can set a maximum temperature setting.  This allows commercial installations to either limit hot water usage or prevent people from getting water which is too hot.

Flow Control – A Stopper on the cartridge that you can limit the maximum flow of water.  Variable setting slide  to decrease how far you can turn on the handle and thereby the water flow.
